Christian Science Monitor: Christian faith – Calvinism is back

Twenty-something followers in the Presbyterian, Anglican, and independent evangelical churches are rallying around Calvinist, or Reformed, teaching. In the Southern Baptist Convention, America’s largest Protestant body, at least 10 percent of its pastors identify as Calvinist, while more than one-third of recent seminary graduates do.

    Great. It actually never left, for it is the gospel which can never be defeated. I think that much if this is a backlash against anti-intellectualism in modern evangelicalism on one hand, and relativistic liberalism on the other. That’s a good thing.

    PS. I think you’ll enjoy my current series on The Knowledge of God. I’m not sure how many parts there will be yet.
